Gloucestershire Cricket is part of the South West consortium comprising of Somerset CCC and Exeter University that will compete in the inaugural Kia Women’s Cricket Super League.

The Western Storm will be one of the six sides taking part in the round-robin T20 competition this summer which will see 90 of the most talented female players from England and across the world competing in this ground breaking tournament.

The competition will run from Saturday 30 July to Sunday 14 August and will feature 15 group matches in 16 days, all culminating with Finals Day on Sunday 21 August 21 at the Essex County Ground, Chelmsford.

WESTERN STORM VS SURREY STARS – SUNDAY 7 AUGUST

Western Storm faced Surrey Stars here at The Brightside Ground, Bristol on Sunday 7th August. Western Storm were victorious after a superb innings from Stafanie Taylor and some great bowling from Anya Shrubsole and captain Heather Knight. For the full match report click here

Kia Super League Highlights

It was a year to remember for Western Storm as they reached the Final of the Kia Super League. Overcoming Loughborough Lightning in the semi-finals winning by 5 wickets with 3 balls to spare. The Storm would go on to face the Southern Vipers in the final who were led by Charlotte Edwards. It was a thrilling final which saw the Southern Vipers win by 7 wickets.
