Born: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, March 17th 1987

Role: Right-hand bat, Right-arm seam bowler

Paul signed a two-year contract with Gloucestershire on the eve of the 2012 season following a successful trial spell with the club.

His first summer with the club saw him make four County Championship appearances and one in the CB40 competition.

Paul began his career with Durham and after progressing from Academy cricket spent three years there before moving to join MCC Young Cricketers for two seasons.

He was a team-mate of Will Gidman’s in the Durham second XI, while his elder brother Gordon has been a member of Durham’s team since 2002.
