Born: 27th December 1991
Role: Right-arm fast bowler
Liam signed a two-year contract with the club in July 2010, having come through the GCCC Academy, and was selected in the national Elite Player Development squad to play Sri Lanka Under-19s at Loughborough, also in July 2010.
The 2011 season saw him burst onto the County Championship scene by taking 6-46 on debut in the opening game against Derbyshire at Bristol.
Unfortunately, after just a few more appearances Liam was sidelined by a stress fracture in his back. But he had already shown enough promise to be awarded an extension to his contract at the end of the season and is expected to challenge hard for a first team spot in 2012.
