Role: Right-hand batsman / Wicketkeeper

Jonathan signed a three-year contract with Gloucestershire in October 2009, having already enjoyed a long and successful career with Surrey. Playing against Kent at The Oval in 2004, he took eight catches behind the stumps in an innings, a Surrey record, and scored a century in the same match.

In his first season with Gloucestershire, he scored 937 first class runs at an average of 36 and claimed 50 County Championship dismissals, 46 caught and four stumped.

The 2011 season saw Jonathan make six Championship appearances and two in the T20, while remaining a first team regular in 40-over cricket.
