Role: Right-hand batsman; Slow left-arm bowler

Ed signed a two-year development contract with the club in August 2010. A highly- promising all-rounder, he has also played for Oxford MCCU and represented the Unicorns in the CB40 competition.

The 2011 season saw Ed become a regular and important member of Gloucestershire’s one-day team. He took 11 T20 wickets in 15 appearances and also played in 11 CB40 games, as well as three in the Championship.

He then went to Australia to spend part of the winter developing his game at the Darren Lehmann Academy in Perth, earning excellent reports for his work ethic in a testing environment that included rigorous fitness training as well as cricket.

The 2012 season saw Ed make eight County Championship appearances, as well as being an ever-present in the club’s CB40 campaign taking 15 wickets, before heading back to Adelaide for the winter.
