Dan Housego

3 Dan Housego

Born: Windsor, October 12th 1988

Role: Right-hand bat

Dan signed a three-year contract with the club in the winter of 2011-12 after leaving Middlesex because of a shortage of first team opportunities.

A talented all-round sportsman, Dan was a national schools 200 metre champion at the age of 12 and chose a career in cricket after playing youth football for Oxford United. He represented England at cricket in the Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 age groups.

A prolific scorer in second XI cricket prior to joining Gloucestershire, Dan quickly established himself in the first team and gave a demonstration of his potential with a brilliant 132, including 11 fours and 4 sixes, in the one-day tour match against South Africa at Bristol in August 2012.
