T20 International 2011 - Important Information

Have you thought about how you are getting to the County Ground, Bristol on Saturday 25th June for the international fixture?
You will have received details of travel arrangements with your tickets, but please be reminded that there is
no parking now available at the ground.
There are many options for those travelling to the match:
By Car
The Club strongly recommends that you use one of the Park and Ride facilities that have been arranged with Wessex Connect, the University of the West of England (UWE) and Bristol City Council. As there is no public car parking at the ground.
- The Park and Rides will be based in car park 20 at UWE's Frenchay Campus, Coldharbour Lane and at the Bristol City Council park and ride facility on the A4 Portway, near Avonmouth. The location plans are available for your information. Buses will operate from 8.30 am and throughout the day. Parking will be free and clearly signed from main routes into the City.
- The return fare is only £3.00 per adult and £1.50 for a child under 16.
If you wish to avoid any traffic congestion please use the Park and Rides and allow plenty of time to travel from the car parks to the Ground.
By Train
For those travelling by train Bristol Temple Meads is in the centre of Bristol and Bristol Parkway is to the north. There is a regular bus and taxi service from both stations to the ground.
By Bus
The number 70 series of buses will bring you to within 100 yards of the ground.
By Taxi

By Air
The nearest airport is Bristol International some 14 miles away from the ground.
Match Timings
England v Australia Women’s T20 International will commence at 10.15 am and the England v Sri Lanka T20 International will start at 2.30 pm.
Gates will open from 8.30 am but please arrive in plenty of time. There will be bag searches and security checks on all entering the ground so please allocate sufficient time for this.
The hospitality facilities will be open from 9.30am and lunch will be served between the 2 fixtures (1.15pm), with afternoon tea at 3.45pm. The bar facilities in hospitality will close one hour after close of play.
Ground admittance & regulations
All spectators are reminded that admission with alcohol will not be permitted. Please do not bring alcohol with you as it will be confiscated before you enter the ground and will not be returned after the match. The consumption of alcohol is not permitted in Stand F or the Family Covered Stand.
Metal cans, glass containers (including soft drinks), musical instruments, large flags, banners, sticks, poles, knives, cutlery or other similar sharp objects are also not allowed into the ground.
There is also a no smoking policy at the ground, smoking is no longer permitted in any stand and enclosed areas of the ground (all bars, the pavilion etc).
Please note that due to space limitations children under 16 (including babies) will require a ticket for this match. Please be aware there will no secure space to store pushchairs etc at the ground.
The use of threatening behaviour, foul or abusive language, indecent or racist chanting or comment will not be tolerated, and will result in ejection from the ground and possible further action. Please report any instances to a nearby steward.
Admittance to the venue is subject to ground regulations, a full copy can be obtained on request. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in ejection from the ground and possible further action.
Weather Delays
If there are any concerns about the weather on the day of the match please check the website for the latest information or call the match information line on 08451 288555.
The club has an excellent ground drainage system which means that even with rain, play can continue very quickly once it stops. So we encourage all supporters to get to the ground with plenty of time.
Please be aware that the refund policy on the reverse of the ticket only applies to the England v Sri Lanka match. The England v Australia Women’s T20 International is in addition, play is not guaranteed and under no circumstances can refunds be made in respect of this game.
Catering
We have a great selection of food options available at our match see here for full details. This includes breakfast for early arrivals, a wide variety of lunch options – including fish and chips, BBQ, Hog Roast, Salads from our Deli, speciality sausages, curry and even paella.
Food units (which include soft drinks including tea and coffee) will be available from 8.30am when gates to the ground open.
Fosters Event Catering are offering two special “Early Bird” offers to supporters attending the game.
- Breakfast offer from 8.30 to 11am - Bacon or Portobello Mushroom Roll served with Tea or Coffee for £3.95 – available at the Hammond Bar or from the BBQ in the car park.
- Early Bird Lunchtime Offer – ‘Buy one get one half price` on the Paella or Curry from the BBQ in the car park between 11am and 12pm – please mention `The Lunchtime Offer` when ordering
Bars
We have multiple bars open around the ground, serving a selection of beers from Marstons our official beer supplier, Thatchers Cider and a range of other alcoholic and soft drinks. Bars will be open from 11am – but see below.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We will be closing our bars at start of the second match (2.30pm) for an hour to encourage supporters to take their seats in time for start of play.
Merchandise
Globe Sports, Gloucestershire Cricket’s official retail partner, will have a full selection of Gloucestershire and England replica kit and other supporter merchandise for sale at the ground. In addition to the main shop just inside the Nevil Road entrance, a mobile shop unit will be available behind the Jessop Stand at the other end of the ground.
