Events at Cheltenham
EVENTS AT LAST YEAR’S FESTIVAL:
We haven’t finalised our events for this year’s festival but as an indication, below is a list of events from LAST YEAR’S festival.
- Church Service – Sunday 24th July
- Everyone is welcome to attend this multi-faith service held in the College Chapel at 12pm.
- RAF Falcons Parachute Display – Sunday 24th July
- The parachute display team will land on the pitch at 1.20pm before the start of play.
- The Waterloo Band of the Rifles – Wednesday 27th July
- The Waterloo Band of the Rifles will conduct a marching display at lunch time and will play again at tea time.
- The main event for the band will be the Marching Display over the lunch interval finishing with a salute and march off outside the ABF Tent. The programme of music is likely to last 30 minutes.
- The Band will also play during the tea interval, for a maximum of 15 minutes.
- Members Forum – Wednesday 27th July
- An opportunity for all members to ask the club their questions at close of play.
- A Cheltenham & North Cotswold Brunch – Thursday 28th July
- 9.30am in marquee
- Admission by ticket only £12.50pp. Tickets available from Marie Journeaux 0870 7441324
- Ladies Day – Thursday 28th July
- This popular event is a perfect opportunity to entertain colleagues or clients and to make new clients. Plus special guest; former Dynasty actress Emma Samms.
- Enjoy a 3 course lunch and afternoon tea in a private marquee with excellent viewing facilities of the cricket. Tickets are still available at £50pp – contact Marie Journeaux 0870 7441324
- PCA former players day – Thursday 28th July
- The official PCA former players event will be held at the Festival this year.
- Tea interval event: Q&A over PA and a “walk on” the pitch by all players attending.
- An autograph signing session during the day.
- Exiles Day – Saturday 30th July
- The annual lunch for Gloucestershire Exiles members.
- Tickets cost £29pp and are available from Ian Herdman on 01635 42284.
- Life Members Day – Sunday 31st July
- Life Members’ Day is an annual occasion for life members of the Cricket Club.
- This year’s event is sold out, but for information about next year’s event speak to Betty Simpson
Plus these additional events are available every day of the Festival:
- A&K coaching zone – free cricket coaching by qualified coaches for all under 16s.
- LVCC: 12 - 1.30pm and 2 - 3.30pm
- CB40: 3 - 4.30pm and 5 - 6.30pm

- Food Village: This year will see a new Food Village located just in front of the main College building. This will include a seating area with tables and chairs and a covered area for Food Village customers. There are a number of food options – from full meals to snacks.
- Montpelier Wine Bar: This year will see the welcome return of the Montpellier Wine Bar to the Festival. Located in a very large luxury marquee in the corner of the ground, with pitch viewing area, The Montpellier Wine Bar will be offering a selection of options for more formal dining over lunch and teas for Members and other supporters
