Cheltenham Cricket Festival – Visitor Information

The Cheltenham Cricket Festival returns to the college grounds this summer for – two weeks of entertaining cricket!

The 2017 fixtures are certainly some of the most exciting yet, Gloucestershire will play three NatWest T20 Blast matches and two Specsavers County Championship matches.

With previous NatWest T20 Blast matches selling out at the festival and large crowds expected for the two County Championship matches, a Gloucestershire Cricket membership will secure your seat.

Gloucestershire fixtures at the 2017 Brewin Dolphin Cheltenham Cricket Festival:-

  • Monday 3 – 6 July – Gloucestershire v Glamorgan – Specsavers County Championship
  • Friday 7 July – Gloucestershire v Middlesex – NatWest T20 Blast
  • Sunday 9 – 12 July – Gloucestershire v Worcestershire – Specsavers County Championship
  • Thursday 13 July – Gloucestershire v Kent – NatWest T20 Blast
  • Sunday 16 July – Gloucestershire v Sussex – NatWest T20 Blast

Gates open two hours before the start of play each day.

Advance ticket prices for each match end at end at 5pm the day before the match. Click here to purchase tickets

Ticket Collection:
Pre-purchased tickets will be available for collection on the College Lawn Entrance, off Thirlestaine road.

Parking: Car-parking can be purchased on a daily basis for £8.00 at Reeves Field (follow Yellow AA Road Signs). Car parking on the College Lawn is for pass holders only. Parking is offered on a first come, first served basis and cannot be guaranteed.

Food & Drink – The Food Village offers a wide variety of freshly prepared food, coffee, cakes and ice cream.  There are also new public bar units that feature draught ales from our bar partner, St Austell Brewery, including ‘Tribute’ and cider from Thatchers, our official cider supplier.

The Gloucestershire Arms is open to the public on match days and will be serving a variety of food options.  There will be a BBQ served at the entrance of the marquee, or for those who want more formal dining there are restaurant options available. Live music will be played on the evenings of the 15th/17th/19th/22nd and 24th of July.

Bus – Cheltenham and District L from town centre. There is a bus link from Cheltenham Spa station to the town centre

Car –
From north and west: from M5 junction 11 take A40 (east) towards Cheltenham, continue on A40 (Gloucester Road then Lansdown Road), at island filling station turn right on to Andover Road. Go over traffic lights into Suffolk Road. Go over traffic lights into Thirlestaine Road.
From south: from Cirencester (A435) continue to junction with A40, turn left on to A40 and continue on this road to Cheltenham College
From east: follow A40 towards Cheltenham town centre, College is on this road.
